It’s an early morning launch and this section of US Navy F-35C Lightning IIs from the Argonauts of VFA-147 are making their way to clear blue sky above. The flight lead has selected a break in the clouds, lit the afterburner and pulled up the nose. The wingman follows suit closing fast in a running rendezvous.
